Central to my teaching
is self-care and self-respect. While I understand the work of an actor might ask us to go to uncomfortable places imaginatively, emotionally, and physically, I believe in setting healthy boundaries in our work and exploring multiple “ways-in” to a moment – to keep a separation between the often personal work of an artist and the artist’s personal life. I do this with the goal of creating a safe space for exploration without sacrificing the integrity of the material being explored.
